Level Editor

I´m working on that same thing at the moment. I haven´t really found any complete tutorials, but I started from a tutorial called Creating 3D Tools with MFC that´s somewhere in this website. It displays 4 OpenGL windows, and a control panel. I changed mine to use DirectX, and it´s not really that difficult.

I built in a fairly simple GUI engine (basically textured squares which call a script when clicked) which means it should (in theory) be reasonably easy to incorporate an editor into the game since the script is granted access to low-level vertex information.

But I really can't be bothered.
