So, whats everyones current project(s)? How far into it are you? Right now I''m creating a very advanced and complicated Turn-based RPG with two other people. It''s based mostly in the future. I''m still in the early designing stage because nobody in my team is doing anything and I don''t get much done without a team mate.

I''m currently working on a game where you take control of a small tribal group of people. You get to hunt, forage, farm, build, etc. Right now I''m about 25% done, and I really want to redo the graphics. I also want to add lots of small, side quests. It blends elements of Harvest Moon, Fallout, and Tail of the Sun.

Hello,

Currently developing a game with 5 other people for a game competition at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. It''s gonna be a first person shooter with some skill development things you see in Deus-Ex and with alot of stealth and diplomacy. Sounds weird, but it''ll be fun.

More info can be found at: http://www.excitera.nu/kthga

Regards,
Deficte

Currently working on VibeForce, an MMORPG. So far, we got the network code and the 3d engine working. Currently I''m trying to figure out how big landscapes can be at max.

This is the polish virus. It is not an executable, but if you would kindly format your entire harddrive, we would be happy.

I''m currently creating the engine for Avian Siege, which will be a game along the lines of Unreal Tournament or Quake. Although it will have more melee combat, and flight

Last time I posted in a thread like this I was making an RPG... but that was much too epic in scale and nothing I could ever achieve (never planned too), so I dropped it for this, which is a much more realistic goal (and more entertaining, the AI will be lots of fun!)

Here

is my little no-frills page containing an example and a fairly recent demo of my game, made in Mark Overmars' Game Maker, with all code and resources used within the engine made by myself. I expect it to take up to another year to bring to completion, though it could be a lot less since I've gotten most of the heavy-duty code out of the way, now it's just a matter of getting together more resources and doing some smaller code additions for additional items, enemies, menus and dialogues.

...probably another year to go.

working on a 3d rpg model-view-controller structured engine.
skeletal rendering is working, dynamic physics is working, pathfinding working
actually we do some restructuring and trying to get our editor running again after some changes.
after this we will hopefully head to network controlling (i can''t see any physics line any more and hate to work on the editor, hehe).
shouldn''t be that hard any more as we modelled it right from scratch to be network and client/server (you move around by clicking where you want to go).

graphics looks nice, physics (often) feels good. say 20% of all is done. (I am not that optimistic when it comes to time schedules. i learned my lessions)

Writing some collision detection routines between circle-circle and circle-line in VB, using GDI for graphics for simplicity.

It''s evolving into a small game of billiards with accurate first-collision handling. It''s coming out nicely.

I would also like to represent a level as a bunch of lines, the player as a circle, render a Wolfenstein-style level and allow exploration.

Eventually I will upgrade to a cylinder exploring a full 3D environment, but I''m not ready for algebra like that yet.

Yeah, I know it's not a game, but here's the most impressive project I've done alone so far...

(the current version is the 4th rewrite, now written in C# and managed C++).

"Drake" (Formerly Technomancer File Editor, WinHexedit and Hexedit)

It's a hexeditor with an ASCII display (instead of 00 FF 9C A3 garbage). Characters 0x00 and 0xFF are color coded to separate them from spaces. The rest of the characters are rendered using the OEM fixed system DOS font.

You can adjust the line length and shift on the fly, allowing you to line up regular data (such as structs) that helps you analyze an unknown format.

Shows you the data under the cursor in multiple representations at once (I use base 10 int, base 16 int and floating-point currently)

Capable of graphically representing a file in a few bpp modes.

Plugin-engine that compiles C# classes to do the dirty work of loading particular file formats for easy editing.

Loads files up to 2gb (I can probably make this higher, but why bother), allows you to insert new data in the middle of the file (not overwrite) and delete in a similar way.

Searches for 1-8 byte integers, IEEE floats, doubles, "decimal", ASCII, UTF7, UTF8, Unicode, Big-endian unicode strings in either little or big endian representation in the file.

common uses:

Checking for custom viruslike stuff inside of executables from KaZaA. I do this by locating the import DLL table (if I see "RegCreateKey" it means that the .exe is probably going to put some hazardous key in the registry)

Editing savegames. Namely Fallout where they stored everything in big-endian. The search feature lets you find a value no matter how it's stored (unless it's compressed or encrypted)

Checking your data files for your game to make sure that your I/O routines are spewing out the right stuff.

i am doing a 3d fighting game.it has 6 characters.i am doing the models and animation while my friend is making the engine using a book.the engine is about 40% done.but the overall game is about 65% done. the engine and the 26 animations for each character are shaping up pretty good. Each model is about 5,500 polygons.
