MSDN Library screw ups

Hi guys, I put the MSDN library on my old laptop a couple of years ago and have since banished the CDs to somewhere in oblivion. I now have a new machine and am trying to port the contents of the library (.chi and .chm files) over to it (I still have my VC++ 6.0 cd), But, I''m not sure how to get pressing ''F1'' inside Visual Studio to access my MSDN Library. I''m not too good with Windows OS, can anyone give me some guidelines? Maybe, regedit? Or a file in my Visual Studio directory that points to where the MSDN library is? This is killing me... I bought this friggin'' machine to dev on and now a month later, I''m still using my old clunker. Please help if possible.

You should be able to change the install path for MSDN with regedit. The key should be somewhere like HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Visual Studio\MSDN
or
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHING\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSDN

I do not have MSDN, so I am guessing as to where they might be...
