I created a game a while back using VB6 on Windows 95. All of the midi music was controlled using MCI calls from the "winmm.dll" library. However, when I try using it in Windows XP, the mci device gives me an error. "The specified device is not open or is not recognized by MCI." Is there another DLL that can be used in place of "winmm.dll" while keeping the rest of the code the same? Or is there something similar which is new to Windows XP?
