Hi I need to create a normalmap (possibly 16-bit) from a high-poly model of about 200,000 polygons to low-poly of 40,000 polygons. Tried ATI normalmapper - but if low poly model is more than 10,000 poly - it crashes and thus isnt useful Thanks

1) Contact ATI developer support - it''s likely to be a very simple bug fix to increase the maximum poly count.

2) nVidia have a tool called Melody on the way - it may already be available publically. Once again contact their devrel people for more info.

[IHV dev support are there to assist developers in making cool stuff for new hardware, don''t be afraid to ask for stuff from them and give feedback!]

3) 40000 polys sounds a bit excessive for the "low" poly version IMO.
