Hello Out of desperation I''m posting this problem on here - as sites/forums devoted to MSXML/COM questions have not been any help. I have a COM+ server (ie runs in its own process) application which use MSXML4 to load an XML resource over http (ie the URL for the resource has http:// in it). The component sets MSXML to use the server side HTTP stack - by doing xmlDoc->setProperty(L"ServerHTTPRequest", VARIANT_TRUE) On development machines and test/acceptance machines this works fine. However our live servers sometimes give the error: "WINHTTP5.DLL or higher must be registered to use the ServerXMLHTTP object. " I say sometimes because an IISReset/mtxstop may fix the problem - only for it to come back after a subsequent IISReset/mtxstop. Any body have any ideas? The problem is complicated by the fact that our live servers are outsourced to another company - so we have no direct access to them - and they are very anal about giving us information etc. (to the point that I sometimes have to request window snapshots of event logs etc!) (btw the servers are Win2k sp3) Thanks Stubble
