my own VertexBuffer (want to make one)

Hi there!! In DX8.1 you can specify what parts are in your vertex. Like _XYZ and colours and stuff (can''t remember the code). It''s so that you can create our own vertex struct and DX will understand and use it. I want to mimic that! I''d like to make my own struct that I can choose which parts I want, and which I don''t want, upon creation. I''m using this for particles. You can say if you want colours, position, speed, acceleration, forces, etc. Has anyone done this? In C++ that is Thanx! "No lies of sugar can sweeten the sournes of reality" }+TITANIUM+{ A.K.A.
