Connection between clouds & dome
Hi folks!
Today I started working on a rather simple sky system. As you can see on the image below it just consists of a dome (gradient) and a curved plane (clouds).
I've read a lot of threads and tutorials on this topic, but I can't figure out how to achieve a smooth transistion between the cloud plane and the Horizon/Dome...

Can anyone help me?
Thanks, Bobo

As the AP said, try using fog to simulate "atmospheric haze". If that doesn''t give the right effect (and it might not), try fading the edges of the cloud-plane to transparent (use the vertices'' alpha values).
You would probably want your dome to stretch below the horizon, as it is in that picture you can easily see the corners producing an unrealistic effect. I used a similar method for clouds, and just stretched the clouds down over horizon, with a simple fade to bluish-white from the a little above the horizon down.
