Hi, I am about to add and overlay for my 3d scene in a game im working on. It needs parts to be alpha blended and parts that are not (like text). I know I need to set up a 3d quad and such to display 2d stuff in dx9. so i figure I could use a 3d textured quad with alphatesting enabled to draw stuff for the overlay. BUT! also i need certain parts to have alpha blending (tranparency) with my 3d scene under it. (like power meters etc..) So! should i have 2 quad overlays 1 with Aplha testing, and another with alpha blending enabled, both the entire size of the screen.and draw to which ever. or just have 1 with alphablending. This just seems slow to me, but if its the way to go please let me know. I''d like to get a plan down before i add this new component. thanks yo quack
