Before I attempt to do this manually, I was just wondering if there was some DirectX function that would extract the Vertex Data, and etc from template data I pass it. Thank you.

have you looked into the X file interfaces like IDirectXFileData and it''s GetData method?

You can do it with the D3DX utility layer (as said before). You can also look one off the file generated by the appwizard (D3Dutils or D3Dmesh, i dont exactly remember). it will show you a way to load completly from a .X File a whole mesh with textures and materials.

Hope it''ll help.

Sorry, I was unable to find any information on what I was looking for in the suggestions you give me. I''m not sure if I explained myself right, but what I want to do is put the data (already derived from the .X file) into a Vertex/Index buffer. If this is what you originally thought I said, do you think you could provide an example too please?

Thanks a million.
