ActiveX control in DirectDraw7?

Hello fellow developers, I am trying to display an active X control in fullscreen mode. My app is using Direct3D v9, but as it doesn''t seem feasible to do this in Direct3D fullscreen mode, I swap to DirectDraw v7 fullscreen mode. While there, I can display a dialog fine (using the device context and fliptogdi() to handle the painting). My problem occurs when I try to display an ActiveX control in the dialog. The app freezes when I call create, associating the control to my window handle. Has anyone tried something like this? Do I need to override soemting in the control? Thanks much, -Gilderoot
