ya get what ya pay for,,, look around for a script that will export to .obj, then u can run that in gmax and u will get a textbox full of numbers, copy these numbers into a notepad (you can onlly select X amount of text at once which sux) then download Deep Exploration from Right Hemisphere and load the obj, save as .x your done, the script most likely will not export texture information so u will get white models, use 3D Studio Max 4, if you know gmax well then 3dsm will be a breeze

You may want to read the EULA for GMAX. You are not allowed to export that information in any way other than those provided by discreet. They do not plan on developing an exporter that exports mesh data into an easily readable format, as it would defeat the purpose of selling Max (since GMAX will do what you want for free).

Don''t bother asking them for a plug-in SDK either - it''ll cost you upwards towards $10,000 the last time I checked, and you have to prove to them that you will not create an easily readable format (the data has to be key encrypted).

The tempest exporter, however, does allow you to export meshes to .md3 and where you go from there...
