Hi. In my current engine I use something I call .tex-files to save several textures into one big file. But I have one problem, I cant seem to create a clean interface that would allow me to transparently handle files from either .tex-files or on disk. How do you guys handle this? I'm sure pretty much everyone (creating an engine atleast) have creating something like this. I tried using a class called FileStream (basicly it has all the methods that std. c-file-io has) but it somehow it didnt seem clean enough. And the FileCore (where I added the .tex-files) just didn't seem as a good solution. Any good ideas? It should always search for files on disk first, and allow several .tex-files to be added. - Morten. [edited by - mortex on April 2, 2003 9:56:10 AM]
