how do you add graphics (2D) to a text adventure

i wanted to add 2D graphics to my text adventure game for my school project and i was wondering how you go about adding graphics or maybe someone knows of a good place to get some tutorials for that

you mean tutorials like the ones in the articles & ressources section of the site ?

No seriously, to my knowledge, there''s no viable way to add graphics in a console game in the latest windows. You could learn windows programming and use gdi or another API. There are good articles about this inthe articles & resources of the site, and good booksin the books and software section.

In order to give you a better answer, we need more info. Console app or not?

How much graphics are you talking about? An image or two, or full color backgrounds with dynamic characters? Do you want animations?

I know of an existing engine (HTADS) uses HTML syntax to handle the display, but it has it''s own built in HTML renderer.

What exactly are you looking for, and what do you have so far?
