Puzzle Bobble

Any one have an idea how to do puzzle bobble colliltion wise? like would i do realy coloition between balls? or use a grid? if so what type of grid? i was thinking a hexagonal grid but is it posible in a square grid?

I''m not exactly sure what your talking about...........

Are you talking about 2D ball collision detection?

Just check the distance of the center of ball1 from the center of ball2... If the distance is less than both radiuses added together, then you have a collision.

I believe it is like a grid, similar to Tetris, only more like hexagons.

You move the balls up until they hit a point where they can''t go further without intersecting the ceiling or another ball.
