After I run this code:
int texture_id = -1;
glGenTextures(1, &texture_id);
printf("%d\n", glGetError());
texture_id is still equal to -1 and glGetError() returns GL_NO_ERROR. I have enabled texture mapping with glEnable(GL_TEXTURE_2D) and this code is outside any glBegin()/glEnd() pairs. Anyone have any ideas how to figure this out?

Try not to give initial value to texture_id.

And, DONT USE INTS. GLuint texture_id must be ok...

I''m not sure for what i''m saying, but try it anyway!!!!. Yuo don''t have something to lose!!!!!!
