Need good C++ compiler
Hi guys. I want to get a good compiler. What should I get? Metroworks Codewarrior or Visual C++.NET ? Does Metroworks support DirectX? Thank you in advance.

Go MS V C++ .NET Standard because it is the "best". Which I''m currently waiting on (Damn CompUSA). Other wise get Devcpp which is also good which I also have.
If you can afford .NET then deffinetly get it because its the standard(and it supports all DX since its made by MS). But Dev-C++ is free and there are many ports for DircetX.

No, VC .NET enterprise is the "best"

I personally wouldn''t suggest that he spend a bunch of money on something that you could get for free. I use MinGW32 with Dev-Cpp and am VERY happy with it. The ONLY time I ever wished I had VC++ was when I was first trying to get DX setup and working. I would suggest you at least try Dev-Cpp before you make a potentially large investment.
