How to run a file type in my app ?

Lets say i got a file called "myfile.map" and i wanted to dubble click it and it would open and play in my dos application. How can this be done ?

I''ve never actually did this, but here''s how I would try it.

First off, your dos app would have to take arguments on the command line. You do this by using this:

int main(int argc, char **argv)
{

}

If you don''t know how to use this, search on the net, I''m sure you''ll find something.

Next, make windows associate .map files with your application. Try to find a dialog box ''Folder Options'' then go to ''File Types''. (I forget exactly where it is, and I''m not in windows at the moment). This will only work on your local computer. To make it happen on every computer your app is run on, you''d have to change the registry. (whether you want to do that I don''t know)
