a bvh is simply, a tree.
like (not the same) a oct-tree or bsp-tree.

a parent has some children.
a child has a parent.

you can use it for culling or collision detection.
a simple rule : if the parent is eg. not visible, then
the children are also not visible, hence no need to process them further.
