Project Dependencies under VC++ 6

Hello, I think this is quite a stupid question, but I would be grateful if anyone could help: When I set project dependencies using VC++6 SP5 the IDE does only include the header files of the workspaces the active project should depend on. So when compiling VC++ knows about all declarations but the definitions in the .cpp files are missing and the linker complains about unresolved external symbols. Until now I added all missing .cpp files to a folder in the active project but this solution doesn''t seem very clean to me because greater projects will be flooded by .cpp files. I would be delighted if anyone told me how to insert subprojects correctly.
