MS VC++ .NET! Oh yeah! Now to learn it. And for the question...Can It run on Windows 98 or just Windows NT, 2000, and XP? [edited by - DIRECTXMEN on April 28, 2003 11:59:21 AM] [edited by - DIRECTXMEN on April 28, 2003 12:00:40 PM]

suposed to be able to run on 98, but I bought the programming .net book and tried to install the SDK framework and it said it won''t install on 98, but the book said it did! If your doing .net programming with c# or something I''d suggested using the newer os''s.

Look on the side of the box, it shows a Microsoft logo and says:
"Designed for Windows XP, 2000, and NT" I had to buy XP because I ran into the same problem

Hi,
Just in case you wonder if you will get into any kind of internet based app development [want to run some MS local server that can serve ASP.NET], go for Win2000 or WinXP professional. WinXP Home won''t allow any MS Web servers to be run on them :> !!! Not even PWS that used to run on 98 et al.

Cheers!!!
V
