Hello, I am working on making a space-based game using a 3d engine that I want to create. I''ve had experience making games in the past but never 3d (though I am relativly versed in using OpenGL). Basicly I want to make an engine that works kind of like this: [List of Objects] | \/ [Frustum and other occuling techniques] | \/ [LOD & Texturing] | \/ [push remaining polys down the OpenGL pipeline] And I want it to be object-oriented so that I can easily use it with other projects, or whatever. The challenge is that I''m not sure how to get OGL to work in an OOP environment, or what the best way to "arrange" the classes to work with each other the best. If anyone has any articles about engine desing with or without examples, or can give me any pointers, it would be much appreciated. Thanx,. --Me.
