naku, that message should not be there

the error occures at DirectPlayInitialization which is now only in the debug version and in the old version.

delete the game and redownload it
if u clean install the game, the first time it should start in 800x600 not 640x480 -> delete the config.dat file
also tell me ur specs

i know the AI is kinda hard do beat on one on one
you'll have to trap him between two bombs

Hey, Ilici, since the game uses OpenGL, maybe you could post the source for us non-Windows folks?
Nice game from a technical standpoint (it looks polished), but unfortunately it''s pretty boring.
Your clone is getting better with each preview ;-)

I am not sure about this camera control thing though. Right now it feels kinda good that I can control the camera with the mouse. But imagine you are playing in an area four times the size of the current one against seven other players and a faster gameplay. ;-)

That''s why we left the camera control to the computer. I.e. you''ve got only a 3rd person cam which has got the same direction with you at the center all the time.

You can try it out by d/l the demo:
http://www.bomberfun.com

Also, the game includes a trick by which one can toggle the camera into 3rd person and follow mode as well. ;-) (Surprising enough, nobody found that out yet, ... not even the crackers who supply the scene with trainer patches for BomberFUN... ;-)

Ah, right, .. one thing: When I was in the controller configuration (i.e. keys) and pressed ESC (which is my natural behaviour when wanting to get to the parent menu), the game quit. That sux ;-)

LightBrain website relaunched, BomberFUN only USD 9.99

anonymous, the source is
http://fantasyworld3d.tripod.com/data/dynasrc.zip

however it uses DirectSound and DInput so wont work for linux unless u delete everythin with the sound and rewrite the input for linux (should'nt be too hard coz everything about the sound is in snsSystem.cpp and everythin about input is in input.cpp)

foofightr: the game in single player, i admit is quite boring. my orig intention was to make it multiplayer but i never got that far and settled for AI.
battle mode is good though.

TroneX:
indeed my game could be greatly improved
some ideeas i had:
- if we are in 3d, maybe a multi level map could be done (one on top of the other and teleport between them)
- camera stuff: zoom in out (i'll probably do this), chase cam, overview,
- gameplay: timed bombs, more powerups, jumping

now i'm off to try ur game ;>
