[java] OK ......HELP!!!

i''m in a programming class at school , for our final project , we have decided to make a 2D shooter; a la space invaders. anyhow because its for school we are having to use java. we''ve got basic applets and keystroke events and that junk. any help, links, or past experience would be great thanks

You don't sound like a Java fan. It really is an excellent language, and is quite suitable for your project. I just posted a reply to another thread in this forum, providing essentially the same information. What was it called? Let me check ....

Okay, I'm back. The thread is called "Tetris Clone ...," and was originally posted by Psionic-X. Good luck with your project. When you're finished with it, will you share it with us? Some of the people here are quite new to Java programming, and could learn a lot from the source code. In fact, you might like to write a brief article about the project, describing any particular problems you encountered, etc.

very easy to use api for making 2d games has a few good samples to get you up and running. also it is still being developed and is getting better each release.
