Hi again! Since there are so many DirectX wrapper classes these days, I made a table in Excel that should give you an overview of the benefits of each component set and thereby help you find the right one for you. Check it out: http://jaeger.xenoware.de/xcess/wrappers.htm Please let me know if any of the information in the table is incorrect. [edited by - Harry Hunt on April 30, 2003 12:26:11 PM]

very nice work

I think the nick of the PowerDraw's creator is LifePower

In future XCess releases you could consider implementing Direct3D and DirectPlay support...

Would be great!!

Keep up the good work...

See ya

Delphi just rules!!!
Greetz, got lack of time, but for PowerDraw info - my name is Yuriy Kotsarenko, the headers used in PowerDraw3 are actually from Ampaze and DirectDraw is used in software rendering engine. And if you ever opened PowerDraw package, there're about 12 examples, not 3... also, please don't put links to http://cshine.cjb.net site, it's pretty quality-less and sometimes is slow and contains banner ads... currently Turbo has PowerDraw official page...

Just a few notes,
Lifepower

P.S. GameVision info is not quite complete also, I think it runs also on Delphi 4, 5 or something... Jarrod could provide more info on this...

Hi,

GameVision 3.x has 11 examples, more docs, sprite, actor, fonts, image and much more. It has real-world mileage as GV has been used to make a game. Maybe projects they have been used in can be also be in your chart.

My site is currently being reworked and I hope to have that back up soon. Status info is currently here: http://www.jarroddavis.com.

The new upcoming build will have even more features and lot of refinements. A big goal for gv3 was to remove dependencies, provide greater support for Delphi versions and tighten up the API.

LifePower, what's going on man. Long time no talk, message me when you get a free moment. Hope all is well.

And to Delphi game developers, we now have choices, lots of them. Choose what feels right for you and your projects, that allows you to be more productive and make great games.

Best Regards

Hi, this is Bobby, Im one of the main developers for Project Omega. Just wanted to let you know that we have released a new version yesterday.

Also, we have mp3 support now, plus pixel collision, and much more

We also have more examples for this version, and I''m working on creating alot more for each feature. We also have 3d positioned sound with this version, its very fun to play with

Thanks

Very good spread sheet thank you very much.

May I use it in a magazine where I''m collating a lot of Delphi related Game Dev information?

Sure. Go ahead.
