glColor3d

I am trying to make a winamp plugin, currently all I want to do is draw the waveformData as a line across the screen. I have the following code draw the line: glColor3f(1.0f,0.0f,0.0f) ; glVertex2f(xval, yval) ; glVertex2f(xlast, ylast) ; which should make the line red, or I would think, but it is always grey. Just so you know, I also draw a background and a model if that may be causing a problem. Is there something I might be doing wrong? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you use lighting when you render your model, don''t forget to disable it before drawing the line, otherwise your color statements will be ignored. Don''t forget to disable texturing too.
