Hello I recently acquired the first text rpg tutorial from GameTutorials.com. All was going well, until I started copying the actual code into a separate source file. When this was done my original, the new copy and the zipped original (no alterations) give me a warning error from the following line, which goes to the beginning of the text file: "fin.seekg(NULL,ios::beg);" I get the message [Warning] passing" Could someone please explain (A) What the error means and how to remedy it and (B) explain exactly how this goes to the beginning of the file. Thanks Jason

i'm not really sure exactly what the warning you got was, i think the forum cut it off. you might try replacing NULL with 0. fin.seekg(0, ios::beg) basically says "move 0 bytes from the beginning of the file", so it seeks to the beginning of the file by moving the file cursor to the beginning and then moving it 0 bytes. seekg(4, ios::beg) would seek 4 bytes from the beginning, etc.
