I hope I am in the right forum...I have a question that has been bugging for for a few weeks...How do you go about in programming to run a program inside a program (I hope I worded that right)...Take for example a compiler, From the IDE it runs the compiler program then the linker program...Is this like a thread type or is that something completely different...Any information or links would be greatly appreciated Michael mpaul@ptdprolog.net

Why google when you can get the answer straight from the source?

go to:
"Windows Development" -> "Windows Base Services"

From here you can find lots of useful goodies. In your case, you will want:
"DLL''s, Processes, and Threads" -> "SDK Documentation" -> "Processes and Threads" -> "Process and Thread Reference" -> "Process and Thread Functions" -> "CreateProcess"
