Hi guys, how do you compute non planar plane ? the reason is, I usually uses plane equation to determine the character''s position on the ground, and it works for a flat surfaces.. but for ex. for a skater in a half pipe how do you make the skater attach to the halfpipe all the time, since it also has some round surface (halfpipe) ??

Split it into triangles?

Non-planar plane...*smirks*

Sorry, I don''t really have a solution to your problem without knowing more about your implementation, but I couldn''t resist snickering at that....non-planar plane. *shakes head and grins*
A halfpipe isn''t a plane, is it? It''s usually a mesh. Thus, you need to stick your player to a mesh.

Look on the web for, for example, "sphere-mesh collision".

http://www.magic-software.com/ usually has decent code.

OPCODE is another useful collision package.
