Can anyone tell me, for every GeForce chipset (from GeForce 1 to GeForce FX), the corresponding NVxx value????? I have a GeForce 256 DDR, which is NV10, and a GeForce 4 MX 440 which is NV17. What is the NVxx values for a GeForce 3, or 4 Ti, or an FX chipset???? Thanks. HellRaiZer

Actualy the new nvidia card which they are calling the FX 5900 i think, is the nv35. As for the rest Im not sure. heres an excerpt about the new card.

"nVidia have officially assigned a name to their newest and speed crown contender chip, the NV35. Speculation as to the name varied from the feasible to the utterly ridiculous. Geforce FX 2 was a popular choice as was the strangely mathematical Geforce FX 11600 (2x 5800).
The real name of the chip, at least until nVidia change their minds again, will be the Geforce FX 5900 Ultra. Initially nVidia had planned to use Geforce FX 6800 and in a single day announced and withdrew the name, eventually settling for the 5900 number.

The official launch of the card will take place on the 14th of May in Los Angeles, timed to perfection with E3 which will be also taking place at that time.

Rumours concerning the cards performance suggest that, obviously, it will be faster than the FX 5800 Ultra with nVidia claiming it will be twice as fast its predecessor and will also, outperform ATI''s Radeon 9800 PRO even if only just.

No one is more eager to get their hands on nVidia''s new baby than ATI who most probably already have their plans set for their next chip.

Expect the first benchmarks on the new chip to appear right after May 14th, since nVidia already have distributed samples to some members of the press. "
