What routes do I need to go to trade mark and copyright my company name, logos, etc? Also, where do I do to trademark names? (character names, game names, etc.)?

copyrights and trademarks are granted by the U.S government. You file for a copyright with the U.S Copyright Office.

Just out of curiosity, while the subject is up, does anyone know what route you go down in the UK for copyrights and trademarks and similer lovellyness.
