Extract rotation angle from LookAt matrix ??

as title said, how to do that ? i''m working on a 3rd person view action game, the main character walk arround the map and my camera use LookAt matrix to it, while the main character walk to the left/right side of the camera, i want the char can keep circling my camera, it''s fine, but how can i give the char the correct angle that it always face forward ?? thanks for any help.
