Why doesnt someone say if its a 3d file use the conv3ds utilty to convert to an x file, then create the mesh and display it. Microsoft SDK has a good one dont know openGL
Then you have it on the screen. Of course you would have to create the lighting, the scene, the camera, and whatever else is needed. Well ohh yeah the device...uggg
I guess what would be best to say.
FIRST get an app to appaear with nothing in it. Thats the hard part.
SECOND convert to 3ds
THIRD create the lighting and the camera
FOURTH Create the mesh of the world or a 2d image.
LAST draw it in a render function
Then after attempting that he would have questions with answers.
And actually I guess the real answer would be, get an app to appear first, then ask specific questions.
So would the real answer be he hasn''t asked a question?
Or is this the proverbs section
Level Loading
nick5454, you have a valid point, but unfortunately hexman used the term "level loading", which means something very specific (and very complicated) in game app terms. there is much, much more to loading a level than just getting a scene onto the screen. as VladR indicated, that''s actually the easy part. and an app that only does that is kinda useless, isn''t it?
so what do you really want to do hexman? are you still around?
