locking vertex arrays in linux

Does any one know if it possible to lock openGL vertex arrays on linux (using SDL) as the wglGetProcAddress function can not be used. Cheers, RodX

The most portable way would be to use SDL_GL_GetProcAddress (see the man page for details).

If you want to use GLX (and thus defeat SDL''s purpose), look for the ARB_get_proc_address extension (glXGetProcAddressARB).
