anybody know of any good websites that have information on natural language parsing and getting a program to not only parse natural language, but also understand it? - jeremiah inlovewithGod.com

Here's a start. The sample code is for lisp. I think that this is a paradigm that most people just jury rig to match their particular application. It depends on just how many types of phrases you want your program to be able understand and how large of a vocabulary you want it to have.

If you're unfamiliar with formal grammars , that is one topic that you will definately need to investigate.

thanx for the link orikal. it was a start at least. it seems that there just isnt much information on this sort of thing out there on the internet (or at least information that isnt part of some phd thesis or something). oh well, the search continues. if i cant find any good things online, i guess ill just have to think it through myself! *gasp*
