Spline Based Terrain

Anyone have any decent links regarding Catmull Rom Spline based terrain rendering, i have already spline based rendering working with bezier curves, but im kinda not liking the limitations that i seem to be having, but, you never know, it might just be my approach to the implementation. I have a few papers about on the subject, so im not really looking for the information behind it, just maybe some interesting articles, and maybe a few links to people who are using such a system to render their landscapes. Also, if theres a book or two that covers the subject in this context, cuold you link me up too? I mean, i''ve googled, but i kinda suck at reducing the results and havent ended up with anything interesting. Well, anyway, i''ve rambled on too much already, so if anyone does help me, thanks in advance, but i''ll check up on the thread pretty often anyway, cos im kinda a gp+t nut

Far as i can see, non of them are spline based I may be wrong though....
