my original post was quite vague, so i've decided to edit this: with the advent of directx 8, everybody knows that microsoft removed directdraw. well, it is a pain in the rear to write a texture quad class wrapper to draw sprites, so i've done it. Viola! Thus GamediaLib was born! And not only does it help the person draw sprites easier, it helps the person create 2d directx 8 applications very very quickly. Think along the lines of the DirectX 8 Common Files - do more tedious windows initialization and directx initialization and rendering! Sound support is coming soon! hi! i originally intended to post here, but i accidentally posted in the wrong section. i have created a beta version of a directx 8.0 sprite rendering library (not just rendering ,includes a directinput wrapper and a windows wrapper...check it out). if you're interested, visit this post: http://www.gamedev.net/community/forums/topic.asp?topic_id=155295 www.geocities.com/gamediaceo/gamedialib.zip Cipher gamediaceo@yahoo.com [edited by - Cipher3D on May 6, 2003 11:06:12 PM]
