Hey all, I don't know why I get this error but before I used to use CreateSurface in DirectX to create sprites. I can create the primary and back surfaces fine, but when it comes to creating an offscreen surface in video memory, I keep getting the DDERR_NODIRECTDRAWHW error. Could it have been because I have a different driver or different version of DirectX? I know DIrectX versions are backwards compatible so I guess that's not it but.. does anyone have any ideas? I have a Nvidia Winfast Geforce 4 MX 440 video card and it worked with it before. Also I've checked the capabilities section of DirectX. It says I don't have the capability to have direct draw hardware, but the old version said I did?? Wtf?? Cheers Darkm00n [edited by - Darkm00n on May 7, 2003 12:49:22 PM]
