can you tell me more about how to make it more cartoonish? I''m really interested in making a cartoon looking object

Cartoons aren''t lit. The environments are, but not the foreground objects. To make something look like a cartoon, you disable lighting and set the vertex colors to white (so everything is fully lit). And of course you use cel-shading.

Thanks for the tip, I''ll work on that. I want to get an animating character cel-shaded that would be really cool, I''m still working on an simple rendering system right now. So hopefully one day it''ll happen.
