Presentation interval

I was looking at the different presentation interval flags available, and I was unable to come up with a reason why someone would use some of them, especially D3DPRESENT_INTERVAL_FOUR. Can someone enlighten me? Maybe there''s something I didn''t think of.

The documentation only says what the flag does, not why someone would want to use it. That''s what I''d like to know.
