A few months ago, I found a way to render to the windows desktop without replacing the shell or using Active Desktop. There''s an app called Vital Desktop, that can display most screensavers on the desktop wallpaper. I''ve written an experimental app that can read mouse movements and run at a decent speed with very low cpu usage. link I''d like to develop some utility, frontend, or plugin that is actually useful. Does anybody have any comments or suggestions about developing something along those lines? If you''d like some info on writing something like this yourself, send me an email.
