CArrayList in CD3DEnumeration

I am working my through learning D3D and I notice that in the D3DEnumeration.h and .cpp files Microsoft includes with DX9 they created an expandable array class called CArrayList. Is there a reason to do this instead of simply using an STL container either a list or vector? Thanks Todd

There is no defined linkage for STL containers, so putting that in a system library would forever tie you not only to a specific compiler, but also a specific version of the STL.

CArrayList was used because that was the best solution when that sample was originally written.

In the future the samples will probably use STL when a container array/vector/etc is needed.
