I am developing on my pentium 4 2.4 ghz with geforce 4 but im developing for a system about half as fast. Now when i calculate the framerate in my directx8 fullscreen app there is a limit of 60 fps. I guess to keep directx apps stable. My app reaches these 60 without major optimization, but now i''m optimizing my code and i would like to see whether my changes have affected the speed. How can i have a more sensitive fps calculation that goes over 60.

You have to change a member of the D3DPRESENT_PARAMETERS structure:

d3dpp.FullScreen_PresentationInterval=D3DPRESENT_INTERVAL_IMMEDIATE; // Disable VSync (it''s just to see max speed)

If it''s don''t work perhaps you forced the VSync with your video drivers.

Hope that''s help.
Good luck.
