Hi! My question is: Can I link servers with DirectPlay for my IRC application? My intention is to link servers like the mIRC servers. Thanx

Can you be a little clearer on what you mean by linking servers? You can definately use DirectPlay to communicate between servers.

When I say linking servers, my idea is to do like mIRC servers. For example on PTNet there is telepac.ptnet.org , netc.ptnet.org ...
Is it possible to link servers with DirectPlay?

The short answer is no.

telepac.ptnet.org and netc.ptnet.org are aliases in the DNS system for IRC hosts on different domains. The DNS configuration is maintained by a host on the ptnet.org domain which propagates the information to DNS network. In order to "link" servers like that you need to configure the DNS server for the domain that the servers will be "linked" under.
