Gimbal lock movement ??

Gimbal lock is when you move something to certain degrees that you eliminate a degree of freedom. Euler (spelling?) angles, usualy executed XYZ, i think the normal gimbal lock example is if you rotate 90 degrees on your X first then the Y and Z coordinates line up and result in only 1 more rotation possible. I am absolulety no pro on the subject but a simple google search will explain it perfectly.

If you hang around in these forums you won''t get the idea what gimbal lock is, other than it occurs with euler angles.

Google up gimbal lock and you''ll find plenty of java applets that actually show what it is. Once you understand it you know how to avoid it.
