Hi, I''m trying to get a polygon to allways face the user, how can I do this? I know that particle systems are often done mapping a texture onto a quad, that then serves as the particle, and the quad is usually semi-transparent... This technique would also enable me to create menus, right? Also, I want those menus, to not get overdrawn by other polys in the back... I''m having a bit of dificulty with this, so any help would be greatly apreciated, thanx,

What you want to to draw a menu over the world correct?

to do this you need to create a diffretn projection Ortho preferably and render them over in a 2d kind of at amosphere.

glOrtho(0,1,1,0,-1,1); // Creates new screen cords from 0-1 and 0-1

do some experimenting with this.

you then draw your menu like this

That will over the entire screen with a Quad
