Hey, I''ve been thinking about a game lately that I want to start working on. It''ll be a 2D side scroller done in OpenGL. I''ve done a little 2D in OpenGL before, but I''ve never tried alpha blending in 2D. Is it possible since 2D is without a Z?

That shouldn''t be any problem.

Not having an z-value will influence the depth-testing, but just disable it and draw stuff in the order you wan''t them shown.
