I have installed DirectX 9 on my comp 3 times today, and my comp still doesnt show any change. There are no directX files or folders on my comp. This is real weird cuz I have had it installed in the past, and I can still play DirectX Games. I have no version of DirectX on my comp tho. WTF! Thx1 -dtekfoo

What the hell are you talking about? Did you install the end user run-time or the SDK? What do you mean "doesn''t show any change"? And yes you do have a version on your computer, it will be the version that came with your version of Windows.
then where is it? im talking bout the run-time. It''s not on either hard drive. Maybe its in a parralel demension
What exactly are you looking for and why? DirectX is just a group of system components and they are closely tied to the OS. They are just a bunch of dlls in your system32 folder such as d3d.dll, ddraw.dll, dsound.dll to name a few. You will not find a DirectX folder because there is no such thing.
