Does the accumulation buffer come standard with most cards these days? I am asking because I tried to use it and it went REALLY SLOW. (.25 fps). And I know it is not my code. I have a GeForce mx 420.

Yes, the accumulation buffer is impractical for anything less than the high end cards. I''m not quite sure what cards support it though.

The accumulation buffer is unstandard and the majority of cards don''t support it. Therefore it has to run in software, making it REALLY slow!

For most things there is an alternate way of doing it, without the accumulation buffer...
Do card such as nVidia Quadro FX support it ?
(you can find me on IRC : #opengl on undernet)
I don''t think so, the Quadro FX is almost the same chip as the GeForce FX.
Cards from 3D Labs could have support for it.
