Hi all, I have a Java platform game that I want to run as an applet. I want to make it 2 player over an network or over the Internet. Can anyone tell me where there is a tutorial that will help me do this? I''d imagine it is done using sokcet programming but that is all I know. Also, the game is fairly simple and not at all processor intensive, is it likely that players will be able to play this through 56k modems? Thanks

go with webstart not an applet because applets cannot do networked games very easy(applets built in secruity measures stop applets from doing any real net work stuff) if you are running your own web server with java installed then I would say go ith applets.

with web start you basiclly create a standalone java app that can be downloaded and started from a web page.

as for the network stuff you need to look on the sun site at the network packages.
